I’m In!

Today isn’t the BEST DAY EVER! but it is a great day.

Today I received notification that I have guaranteed entry into the 2020 New York City Marathon.

Of course, I can’t run right now.

I can’t walk.

I can’t stand even on two feet.

I’m still on crutches – non-weight bearing following surgery on my right Achilles…

But, I’m in the race.  I am in the race.

I AM IN THE RACE!!!

I have two more weeks until my next doctor’s visit.  I’m hoping the news is good and the crutches go away at that time.

I hope to be running again by March…or April, at the latest.

And once that time comes, once it comes, I’ll start my slow journey back to getting into marathon shape.

I’ll be there in November.  I’ll be in the glorious, wonderful, and amazing New York City Marathon.  I can’t wait!!!

I WILL BE THERE.

I’m in the race.

I AM IN THE RACE!

And that makes all the difference.
